| Tobacco smoke consists of nicotine, tars, other irritants, water vapor, and carbon dioxide. Much of the invisible smoke is caused by the high boiling tars within the tobacco, which immediately condenses in the form of microscopic sticky droplets. They adhere to walls, ceilings, furniture, carpets, drapes, clothing and other furnishings. It is the brown residue!
